Serial (RS232,RS485, and RS422)

RS232 comports are setup with the device command by setting the type attribute to "serial".   Currently, RS485 and RS422 devices require a RS232-RS485 convertor.  Direct support for 422 and 485 systems is under development.   Contact Green Eyes for a status report. 

Many PCs today do not come with a built in serial port, so many companies offer USB to one or multiple serial port converters.  Green Eyes' staff has used a variety of these devices and has found those offered by Moxa to be extremely reliable.
